Eating food contaminated with mould can lead to health issues, according to Health Direct.

Some moulds make harmful substances called mycotoxins that poison food. Eating mouldy food can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and allergic reactions.

Products affected by the Han Kitchen Topokki Cup recall are those with a best before date of 03/09/2026.

This latest recall comes less than a week after consumers were warned about eating a different product and the risk of developing severe illness.

Concordia Traders Enoki Mushroom was recalled on April 30 over Listeria contamination fears.

The recall affects the 350g size of the product with packaging marked with the use by date May 24, 2026.

The fungi had been available for purchase at Asian grocers in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

“Listeria monocytogenes may cause severe illness in pregnant women, unborn babies, neonates, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals,” the recall alert, issued on Thursday, read.

“The general population can also become ill from consuming food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

“Consumers should not eat this product.”
