The other passengers were also taken to hospital with serious injuries, which they are now recovering from.
Ari leaves behind four heartbroken siblings - Van, Xavier, Levi, and Marlowe - and parents Sharni and Bradley.

A GoFundMe has been established and has already raised a staggering amount, more than $63,500 towards its $70,000 goal.
“No parent should ever have to endure the heartbreak of losing a child,” its description reads.
The boy was described as a “cheeky, adventurous little boy with the biggest heart” who loved playing soccer.
“His caring nature and beautiful smile left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him,” the family said.
“Ari was a cherished son, an adored brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, and his absence has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who loved him most.
“Forever six. Forever loved. Forever remembered.”
The fundraiser aims to lessen the financial burden of the family of six, who rely on a single income, as well as supporting Ari’s grandparents Brad and Gaye as they navigate her care after the crash.
Gaye, who helped raise and care for Ari, was injured in the car crash and the family said she will be unable to work while she physically and emotionally recovers.

The six-year-old’s cousin, Hollie, was also injured and is recovering with her family.
The family said Hollie had been preparing to represent her state at the Australian Futsal selections.
“The impact of this tragedy is being felt across the entire family,” they said.
“So many people have reached out asking how they can help. While nothing can take away this unimaginable pain or mend the family’s broken hearts, we hope this fundraiser can ease some of the financial burden they now face, giving them the time and space to grieve without the added stress of financial pressure.”
The family said Ari’s parents made “the incredibly selfless decision” to donate his organs.

“Because of Ari, two young children have been given the gift of life, while two more adults have been given the opportunity for a better quality of life,” they said.
“It is a remarkable legacy that reflects exactly the kind, generous little boy Ari was.”
In an update posted on Monday, the family said they were “absolutely blown away” by the support they had reseived through GoFundMe.
“Not only did they have 3 family members in the car, they all also got to the devastating scene before the helicopter and ambulances left, they wrote.
“The sounds and images will never leave them.
“You are helping this whole family be able to stay together, work through their grief and to support each other.
“It is a very long road ahead and with 5 adults in Ari’s life... unable to return to work yet, this helps them immensely stay together to bring healing.“We cannot thank you all enough.”
