Kyle Sandilands has revealed he’s been working with Pauline Hanson and One Nation since his departure from KIIS FM.

It’s understood the ex-radio show host has spent the last few months helping the senator and her party “get their messaging across”.

In an interview with Game Changers hosts Craig Bruce and Irene Hume, Mr Sandilands talked up the One Nation leader.

“She is really a surprise,” he said.

“She’s one of my favourite people now.”

He also admitted he has taken the controversial senator to “meet some folks she didn’t know”.

“Not my gangster friends. But more of the upper society types who have also expressed a great interest in her messaging,” he continued.

The former KIIS FM presenter added that he was “loving the orange wave” and praised One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce.

“I spent time with both of them, and they’re very inspirational. They’re not what everyone thinks they are … a lunatic racist party of country bumpkins that think that the world should change.”

It come as Mr Sandilands secured a multi-million-dollar settlement with ARN Media, bringing an end to a legal battle over the termination of his lucrative broadcasting contract.

In an announcement on Wednesday, ARN confirmed it would pay Mr Sandilands $12.09 million to resolve court proceedings stemming from the abrupt end of his employment earlier this year.

The dispute arose after Mr Sandilands and longtime co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had their contracts terminated following an on-air clash on February 20, which ultimately led to the cancellation of The Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM.

The 55-year-old opened up about their relationship since the clash.

Speaking to Game Changers he revealed the pair were now “loosely communicating” with one another.

“I’ve apologised a half a dozen times … and I said to her, ‘look, regardless of what’s been said … any time that I’ve made you feel anything less than wonderful, I really apologise, and hopefully one day we can talk about that,’ and she was very appreciative of that,” he said.

The broadcaster added he’s still fiercely protective of Jackie, and won’t hear a bad word about her.

“People will see me in the street and from time to time might be a bit negative about Jackie, and I will shut them down instantly. She’s like a sister to me.

“I’ve known her for 30 years and I just can’t engage in that.”
