Coonabarabran: Grandmother charged with murder after two children found dead inside NSW home
In the wake of the shocking deaths of two young boys in a sleepy NSW country town, a grandmother has been charged with two counts of allegedly murdering the boys.
The woman has been charged over the deaths of the two children in the state’s west earlier this week.
Police confirmed that just after 2pm on Monday, they were called to a home on Emu Lane, Coonabarabran, following reports of a concern for welfare.

The parents of two boys paid tribute to their sons after the incident.
Samantha Heggs and Troy Johnson said the brothers Max, seven, and Sam, six, were extremely close.
Mr Johnson said Max was never sick and was always happy and healthy.

“He was the happiest little kid he never cried, even as a baby he didn’t cry,’ he said.
“(Sam’s) the toughest little kid I’ve met, the way he went through the pain, the way he beat that cancer, he’s my hero.”
The 66-year-old woman was taken to a hospital for further assessment where she remained under hospital guard.
A crime scene was established and officers continue investigations, assisted by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
The woman was taken to Orange Police Station after she was released from the hospital on Friday and charged with muder of the two boys.
She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
