Footage from Dashcam Australia showed the truck pulling through the intersection on a green light on Monday at 11.45am, before the white SUV pulls into the centre of the road to perform a right turn.
The sounds of a blaring horn could be heard as the truck and SUV smashed into each other, followed by gasps from nearby drivers.
“Oh, sh*t!” one driver exclaimed as the truck skidded forward.
The collision was so forceful it caused the cab of the truck to drop and fall off, while the driver was still inside.
Another truck passing by was also forced to step on the brakes as it tried to skim past the red soft drink truck, before coming to a complete stop.

Paramedics and police were called to the scene and treated the 29-year-old truck driver, who sustained minor injuries.
“He was taken to hospital as a precaution,” a police statement read.
The occupants inside the white SUV were uninjured in the collision.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
