A driver has been killed when his car ran off the road and hit a tree in rural northern NSW.

The 60-year-old’s vehicle left Fogwells Rd at Yorklea and crashed into a tree about 1am on Thursday.

The man, who was the sole occupant, died at the scene.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.

However, NSW Police are not treating the man’s death as suspicious and will prepare a report for the coroner.
