Elderly woman left with serious injuries after car-jacking, young girl assaulted in Dubbo, NSW
A man has gone on a violent crime spree in a rural NSW town, allegedly seriously assaulting an elderly woman and a young girl.
Police launched an investigation into an aggravated robbery in Dubbo on Wednesday and two men were subsequently arrested and charged.
Emergency services were called to Wingewarra Street, Dubbo at around 6pm, following reports a woman had been assaulted and robbed.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 67-year-old woman at the scene for a broken hip and head injuries, before she was taken to Dubbo Hospital in a stable condition, where she remains.
Police also received reports that a man had assaulted a 12-year-old girl on Macquarie Street at about 5pm the same day.
At about 8pm, police were patrolling Milson Street, Warren, when they attempted to stop the stolen car.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated. It was terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.
At about 9pm, police located the car in the rear yard of Dubbo Street, Warren, and established a crime scene.
A 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with five offences.

- Aggravated robbery and inflicting actual bodily harm cause wounding/grievous bodily harm
- Take and drive conveyance without consent of the owner
- Police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, and
- Drive a motor vehicle during the disqualification period
A 24-year-old man was also arrested at the home for unrelated outstanding arrest warrants for assault, property, traffic, and domestic violence.
Both men have been refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday.
