Man missing since Christmas found dead in single-vehicle crash in NSW

A man has been found dead in a single-vehicle crash in NSW after being missing since Christmas Day.

The 49-year-old Queensland man was found dead inside an overturned Ford Ranger four-wheel-drive in the Northern Rivers area about 11am on Tuesday.

The car was partially submerged in a creek on Gradys Creek Rd at Loadstone by the time it was discovered.

Police began searching for the man on Monday after he had not been in contact with his family since Christmas Day.

He was last seen visiting a home at Cougal, about 60km north of Casino.

NSW Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
