Merrylands: Teen stabbed in fatal Western Sydney train station attack, 17yo charged

A teenager has been charged after a 16-year-old boy was left fighting for life after an alleged stabbing at a Western Sydney train station.
Emergency services were called to Merrylands Railway Station around 5.15pm on Monday after reports of a knife attack.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the injured boy at the scene before rushing him to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. He remains there recovering.

Following investigations, a 17-year-old boy attended Narellan Police Station on Tuesday afternoon, where he was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, using a knife in a public place to cause fear, and affray.
He was refused bail and is due to face a children’s court on Wednesday.
Detectives from Cumberland Police Area Command are continuing their inquiries.
