Miranda: 87yo pedestrian dies after being struck by school bus in Sydney’s south

A man who suffered horrific injuries after being struck by a school bus at a busy suburban intersection in Sydney’s south has died.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Kingsway and Miranda Road, Miranda, at about 2.45pm on Monday, following reports that a pedestrian had been injured in the collision.
The 87-year-old was treated by paramedics for upper body and head injuries before being rushed to St George Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the school bus, a 63-year-old man, was taken to Sutherland Hospital for mandatory testing.
There were no other injuries reported during the incident and detectives established a crime scene before commencing an investigation into the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
