NSW Police rescue kidnapping victim in Dural, teen charged after CCTV footage emerges
Police allege a 53-year-old man was assaulted and forced into a car, with CCTV capturing the moment before a teen was arrested in a tactical raid.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged after a dramatic police operation in Sydney’s north-west rescued an alleged kidnapping victim from a Dural property.
Robbery & Serious Crime Squad detectives recovered a 53-year-old man on Thursday morning, two days after he was allegedly snatched from outside a tobacconist in Mt Pritchard.
Police say about 6.15am on Tuesday, officers attached to Fairfield Police Area Command were told the man had been taken from outside a shop on Meadows Road by four males wearing balaclavas.

State Crime Command’s Robbery & Serious Crime Squad launched a covert investigation under Strike Force Martinook, working to locate the victim and identify those responsible.
About 10.30am on Thursday, strike force detectives, who were assisted by the Tactical Operations Unit, executed an operation at a property in Dural.
At the address, police located the 53-year-old man and arrested a 16-year-old male.
NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed the man at the scene before he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The teenager was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and charged with taking/detaining in company with intent to ransom occasion actual bodily harm, possess shortened firearm (not a pistol) without authority and participate criminal group contribute to criminal activity.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before a children’s court on Friday.
Investigations under Strike Force Martinook are ongoing, with police continuing to probe the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction and whether others were involved.
