A home in Sydney’s south west with nine occupants, including four children, has been peppered with bullets and police have commenced a search for the offenders.

At about 11:45pm on Tuesday, police were called to a home on Cabramatta Road, Cabramatta, following reports that shots had been fired into the house.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and were told a white Toyota Corolla mounted the footpath and multiple shots were fired at the home before the car fled the scene.

The nine occupants inside the property were reportedly not injured in the incident and officers have established a crime scene.

A short time later, emergency services were called to Hamel Road, Mount Pritchard, following reports of a car fire.

The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW with no reports of injuries, however following investigations, police have identified the damaged vehicle as the same car used in the earlier shooting.

The vehicle is currently undergoing forensic examination and will form a major part of the investigation.

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
