Sydney boy tragically killed in accidental farm shooting on Windellama, Goulburn property identified

Two people including a teenager have been charged over the accidental shooting death of a nine-year-old boy in rural New South Wales.

A nine-year-old child who tragically died after allegedly being accidentally shot on a rural property has been remembered by his mother as a “cheeky boy”.

Mohamed Fattah, known as “Moey” to his loved ones, was accidentally shot in the neck on a relative’s farm at Windellama, near Goulburn, at about 11.20am on Sunday.

Paramedics rushed to the scene, but despite their best efforts, he could not be saved.

Two people — a 33-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy — have since been charged with firearm offences over the incident.

7NEWS.com.au understands Fattah, whose family are from Sydney, had been staying on his grandfather’s getaway property for a boys’ weekend when the tragedy occurred.

Fattah, whose family own a convenience store in Western Sydney, frequently featured in adorable advertisement videos posted on the store’s social media pages.

“Feeling thirsty guys?” he said in one of the clips as he reaches into a fridge to grab a drink.

“I’ve got two new, straight from Japan, Fanta! This is peach flavour, this is grape!

“And for you energy junkies, we have the brand new orange cream, mango ghost!”

Reminiscing on the videos, Fattah’s mother described the nine-year-old as a “cheeky boy” to 7NEWS.com.au on Monday.

Tributes have begun to flow online for Fattah whose life was tragically cut short.

“I love you and miss you so much,” one relative wrote.

“I’ll never forget you. You’ll always be in my heart.”

Neighbours told 7NEWS the group had just arrived at the property for the start of the school holidays.

The 14-year-old was charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm.

He was granted conditional police bail to appear in a children’s court on May 16.

The 33-year-old was charged with allowing a person to possess a firearm and not keeping a firearm safely.

He was granted police bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court on May 14.
