A teenage boy who was killed in a horror car crash in northeast NSW has been remembered as an “amazing person” who “always made everyone laugh”.

Logan Power, 18, was travelling in a Ford Sedan when it crashed into a power pole on Barnes Street, in the Tamworth suburb of Taminda, about 2am on Monday.

Power, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene.

Three others — the 25-year-old male driver, and 18-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman — were treated by paramedics before being taken to Tamworth Hospital.

The driver remains in a serious condition with leg injuries while the two other passengers are stable.

Tributes have begun to flow online as devastated friends and loved ones remember the popular 18-year-old, who was an identical twin.

His sister shared a post showing Logan standing next to his twin brother, alongside Zach Bryan’s song “Something in the Orange”.

“I will play this song for you everyday until I’m up there with you my beautiful brother,” she said.

Another friend described Power, known affectionately to loved ones as “Logibear” as an “amazing person”.

“(You) always made everyone laugh, especially with that contagious laugh you had,” she said.

“I hope you are riding those motorbikes and singing your favourite country songs. I am going to miss your hugs and singing in the car with you.

“This is so unfair. My heart is shattered.”

Another friend said Power always had a positive attitude and upbeat energy.

“You were the most amazing and wonderful human that I have ever met,” he said.

“You were always smiling and now that I won’t see you again, (it) breaks my heart.

“Love you bro.”

Just hours before his death, Power uploaded a video on Instagram showing him cheerily mouthing the words to a song as he hung out with his brother.

His death has left the country town in mourning, with one local business page describing Power as a “well respected” member of the community.

Investigations into the crash continue.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
