White Cliffs: Major investigation after 9yo boy killed as ute driven by 16yo boy rolls on NSW property

Tragedy has struck on a rural property in NSW after a young boy was killed when a car he was in rolled.

The boy died in the single-vehicle crash in the state’s west at about 7pm on Friday before emergency services were called following reports of a crash on a property on Glendara Road, White Cliffs.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District were told a utility had overturned.

The driver, a 16-year-old boy, and a passenger, a 9-year-old boy, were taken to White Cliffs Hospital, however the younger boy was declared deceased on arrival.

The older boy was treated and will be subjected to mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene on the property and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
