Wilberforce: Chaos in morning peak as man killed in horror truck, car collision in western Sydney

Western Sydney drivers are being urged to avoid the area.

A young man has died after a truck hit the hatchback he was driving in a major collision causing major delays during the morning peak.

The 19-year-old man was confirmed deceased following the two-vehicle crash at Wilberforce in Sydney’s west.

At about 4:35am on Tuesday, emergency services were called to Wilberforce Road, near Freemans Reach Road, following reports of the crash.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury police area command attended and found a truck with a dog and a hatchback had collided.

The male driver of the hatchback – believed to be aged 19, was found deceased at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

The male truck driver, age unknown, was uninjured was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Road closures are in place along Wilberforce Road, from the roundabout at Freemans Reach Road and Rose Street and motorists are urged to avoid the area and allow additional travel time.
