Wootton Way Bulahdelah: Man dies after trike collides with trailer and bursts into flames

A man has been killed after the trike motorcycle he was riding collided with a parked trailer and burst into flames in NSW.

An investigation is underway following the crash at Bulahdelah at around 8.30am on Tuesday when emergency services were called to Wootton Way near the Pacific Highway, following reports of the incident.

At the scene, police located a trike motorcycle that had crashed into a parked trailer on the shoulder of the road before igniting.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, however the male rider of the trike died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

Wootton Way is expected to remain closed for a number of hours while forensic officers examine the scene.
