Police arrest and charge man after allegedly trying to display a Nazi poster in Hyde Park, Sydney

A second man has been charged for allegedly displaying a Nazi swastika poster during a rally at Hyde Park in Sydney on Sunday.

At about 2.45pm on Sunday, officers attached to operation shelter were patrolling Hyde Park when they located an unknown man putting up a poster of a Nazi swastika.

Officers spoke to and moved the 56-year-old man on and removed the poster.

On Monday, Police charged the man with knowingly displaying by public act a Nazi symbol without excuse.

The man was issued a future court attendance notice to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday November 21, 2024.
