Queensland police investigating the ‘out-of-character’ disappearance of a 56-year-old man have charged two other men with torture offences.

Andrew Burow has been missing from his Kelvin Grove home since August 20, with officers saying they believed his disappearance to be suspicious.

On Wednesday, Queensland police declared a crime scene at a Kokoda Avenue address in Bli Bli after they set up an initial crime scene at a Lorimer Terrace address in Kelvin Grove on 26 August.

Two further crime scenes have since been declared at Black Pinch Road, Pomona and Kamala Drive, Lake MacDonald.

On Thursday, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a 26-year-old North Lakes man and a 38-year-old Sippy Downs man had been arrested and charged with one count of torture each.

They are both due to reappear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday.

Mr Burow is still missing and police have made a fresh plea for anyone with information to come forward.

He is described as as Caucasian with a fair complexion, redish/sandy hair with blue-green eyes.

“Police and family hold significant concerns for his welfare as he has not contacted anyone since his disappearance,” the spokesperson said.

“Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts or information about the missing person is urged to contact police immediately.”
