Branyan, Brisbane: Tragedy near Bundaberg as man found dead inside water tank, woman rushed to hospital

A man has died and a woman has been rescued after being pulled from the inside of a water tank on the outskirts of Bundaberg in Queensland.

Emergency services were called to a property on Clydesdale Ave in Branyan, about 360km North of Brisbane, shortly before 8am Monday.

A 64-year-old man was found unresponsive in a water tank, and was pulled from the water.

He could not be revived and was declared dead at the scene.

A woman was also pulled from the inside of the water tank and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Police are not considering the man’s death suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
