Brisbane woman wakes to find massive python curled up on top of her
A Queensland woman has endured the stuff of nightmares after waking to find an unexpected bed guest - a massive carpet python.
Rachel Bloor was asleep when the 2.5m metre reptile slithered its way up to her second-storey bedroom in Brisbane and curled up on top of her.
She initially thought the snake was her pet labradoodle but felt something else move when she reached out.

“I sort of side shuffled out,” she told the ABC.
In a remarkable display of composure, she then guided the snake out the window herself, without calling for professional help.
She believes the visitor got inside by pushing open a plantation shutter.
Carpet pythons are common in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
They are not venomous but their size can be intimidating.
