Man critical after nearly drowning at Streets Beach at South Bank in Brisbane

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found at the bottom of the pool at Brisbane tourist attraction Streets Beach.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was pulled from the water of the artificial lagoon at South Bank about 4.50pm on Monday.

Paramedics treated him for life-threatening immersion-related symptoms before taking him to the nearby Mater Hospital.
