Man rescued from creek crossing with spinal injuries after dirt bike accident at Raglan, south of Rockhampton

A dirt bike rider with serious spinal, head and limb injuries was rescued from a rural property in Raglan, 56km south of Rockhampton, on Saturday.

The 40-year-old man was riding with a large group of recreational riders when the accident occurred about 1.55pm.

The rider had exited a creek crossing and hit a “section of rocks,” CapRescue said.

“The patient was treated and stabilised by the onboard flight medical team for multiple injuries in preparation for air transport.”

He was flown by helicopter, in a serious condition, to Rockhampton Hospital.
