Police have called for public assistance as they investigate a horror crash that left a motorbike rider dead after a collision with a motorhome.

The forensic crash unit is investigating the fatal two-vehicle crash in Tabragalba (Logan) on July 10.

Around 2.10pm, a dark blue Honda ST 1300 motorcycle travelling northeast along Beaudesert Nerang Road collided with a Winnebago RV motorhome travelling southwest.

It is believed the motorcycle rider was travelling with a group of other motorcyclists at the time of the incident.

The rider of the Honda motorcycle, a 71-year-old Highland Park man, was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died on Saturday, August 10, from his injuries.

The driver of the motorhome was not injured.

Investigators are appealing to the other motorcyclist, any witnesses, or anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000
