“Warn neighbours, secure belongings and enact your emergency plan.”

On Wednesday a similar alert was distributed for the broader South Burnett region.

People are urged to not drive unless necessary and to stay up to date with weather warnings.

The state’s SES has been inundated with calls and the greater Brisbane area has been overwhlemed in parts as roads close and low-lying premises are abandoned.
