A Queensland woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly hitting him with her car.

The 27-year-old woman allegedly struck the 31-year-old man with her car on Goldsmith St in East Mackay about 5.15pm on Sunday before crashing into a tree.

“It will be alleged the woman and man were involved in a traffic disturbance where the woman swerved, cutting the man off shortly before the incident,” Queensland Police said.

Police further alleged the woman drove her car into the man’s vehicle before crashing into him when he got out of the car.

The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries in hospital.

A woman travelling as a passenger in his car was not physically injured.

The 27-year-old woman has been charged with one count each of attempt to murder and threatening violence.

She is expected to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on Monday.
