Maslin Beach: Rescue services scramble after car spears off beach clifftop outside of Adelaide

All available emergency services scrambled to the area after reports a car speared off a beach clifftop in the middle of the night.

Rescue teams attended the scene of the crash at Maslin Beach outside of Adelaide in South Australia, where a car drove over the cliff.

At 11pm on Sunday night police were called to Gulf Parade after reports a white Holden sedan had driven off the cliff and landed on the beach.

The driver a 30-year-old woman from Northgate and passenger a 30-year-old man from Tanunda both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Both the driver and passenger were both taken to hospital for treatment.

Measures are being taken to remove the car from the beach.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing and any witnesses to the crash are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
