An Adelaide woman has delivered a chilling warning following the fatal shooting of her father, vowing “revenge is coming” unless justice is swiftly served.
The man, identified by police as Troy Jacka, 53, from Taperoo, died from a gunshot wound believed to be self-inflicted during the struggle.
South Australian police believe the weapon was in Mr Jacka’s possession at the time, though no charges have been laid in relation to the shooting.

“Dad died protecting his son — like any father would,” she said.
According to Ms Jacka, the fatal confrontation was triggered by an earlier altercation at the Smithfield Hotel involving her brother Jayden and a group that included his ex-girlfriend.
“They tried running my brother over and got him with a baseball bat,” she alleged.
“Broke his arm in three places.”
Police have confirmed the hotel incident is linked to the later events at Munno Para West and have charged three people: a 21-year-old woman from Blakeview, a 22-year-old woman from Munno Para West, and a 31-year-old man from Campbelltown with affray.
The Blakeview woman has also been charged with acting in a manner likely to cause harm.
Police confirmed the incident was not random, and that the individuals involved were known to one another.
All three have been banned from returning to the Smithfield Hotel under a three-month liquor licence barring order and are scheduled to appear in court on September 9.
“I went to the crime scene myself to have it all sink in,” Ms Jacka said.
“But it hasn’t sunk in.”
With emotions still raw, her message was clear: “Revenge is coming. And it’s gonna happen. Either the police do it or we’re gonna do it ourselves. It’s just how it’s gonna go.”
Police investigations into the shooting are continuing.
Authorities have urged the public to allow justice to take its course.
