Celine Cremer: Phone belonging to Belgian tourist missing for more than two years found in Philosopher Falls

A phone belonging to a Belgian tourist missing for more than two years has miraculously been found, Tasmania Police have revealed.
Celine Cremer disappeared in Waratah on June 17, 2023.
Despite extensive search efforts in treacherous terrain and challenging weather conditions, there had been no sign of her, until now.

Her phone was found by a private search party in the Philosopher Falls area near Cradle Mountain on Saturday, with police immediately alerted.
Officers are at the scene searching for more clues.
“Tasmania Police remains committed to supporting this independent search effort,” a police statement reads.
“A police search controller is working closely with the private search party to ensure safety and that any discoveries are managed appropriately.
“Police remain in close contact with Celine’s family and we will continue to assess any new information in a bid to provide them with answers and closure.”
