Three charged with murder after Norlane man allegedly stabbed in the heart

Three people will face court after the alleged attack on the 30-year-old man and his partner.

Two people were hospitalised after an alleged armed robbery at a Thornlands home south of Brisbane.

Three people have been charged with murder over a shocking incident in a regional Victorian suburb that left one man dead and his partner injured.

About 12.40pm on Sunday, an altercation began between a 30-year-old Norlane man, his 28-year-old partner and three other individuals.

A local resident who spoke to the Geelong Advertiser on the basis of anonymity said she attended the scene after the alleged attack by a 28-year-old Corio woman, a 34-year-old Norlane man and a 39-year-old Lovely Bay man.

“I ran over to try and stop the bleeding, once I got there you could tell he was gone, and there was nothing that could be done,” she said.

“He was stabbed in the heart repeatedly.”

The woman, a nurse, said the dead man’s partner also sustained injuries after she was “kicked and punched”.

On Tuesday morning, Victoria Police confirmed all three had been charged with murder and were due to face Geelong Magistrates’ Court later on Tuesday.
