Pakenham: One boy killed, two others in hospital after alleged stolen car rolls and hits power pole

One boy has died and another two are in hospital after the alleged stolen car they were driving hit another vehicle and rolled before striking a power pole in regional Victoria.

Major collision investigation unit detectives are investigating the fatal collision in Pakenham on Thursday afternoon where it is understood a silver Audi, believed to be stolen, collided with a Subaru station wagon on the Princes Highway near Windermere Boulevard just after 4pm.

The Audi then reportedly rolled and struck nearby trees and a power pole.

The front seat passenger of the Audi, a 16-year-old Cranbourne East boy, was taken to hospital where he died.

The driver of the Audi, a 16-year-old Pakenham boy, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The rear seat passenger of the Audi, a 15-year-old Pakenham boy, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating reports the Audi was seen driving erratically on the Princess Highway prior to the collision.

It is believed the Audi was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Cranbourne North on Sunday.
