Perth gynaecologist charged with indecent assault on woman during procedure pleads not guilty
A Perth gynaecologist accused of indecently assaulting a woman during a medical procedure has denied the allegation after he faced court today.
Police allege 58-year-old doctor Angamuthu Shenbagavalli Arunkalaivanan, who was specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology, assaulted the woman during a procedure he was helping with in Perth in February 2022.
In his first appearance in the Rockingham Magistrates Court, Mr Arunkalaivanan, of Canning Vale, pleaded not guilty to the charge The West Australian reported.

It was also revealed in court that the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency had investigated him.
Mr Arunkalaivanan’s bail was extended.
He will face trial in Perth Magistrates Court on July 30.
