Dave Grohl’s eldest daughter Violet Maye shares first selfie after dad confessed to fathering a secret baby
The eldest daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has taken to social media for the first time since her father’s bombshell confession of fathering a child outside of his 21-year marriage to Jordyn Blum.
On September 10, Grohl sent shockwaves through celebrity gossip channels when the so-called “nicest man in rock” admitted he had become the father of a “new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage”.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he wrote on social media at the time.

Grohl has not revealed who the mother of the newborn girl is, nor has his wife made a statement on the matter.
His eldest daughter, Violet Maye, has however broken her silence and returned to Instagram with her first post since the baby bomb dropped.
Violet, 18, shared a carousel of moody images to her 226,000 Instagram followers on Thursday (AEDT).
Among the images — one of a Super A Foods grocery chain and a concert — the budding musician shared a selfie showing off her arm tattoo of the logo of the German experimental band Einstürzende Neubauten.
She captioned the image typing the symbols to produce a smiley face: “:-)“
Although it’s the 18-year-old’s first post since her dad’s confession, Grohl’s 15-year-old daughter Harper Willow has continued to post pictures to her 44,700 followers.
While Harper has shown off her artistic talents on her Instagram accounts, Violet has followed in her father’s musical footsteps, even joining him on stage to showcase her singing voice.
The pair have performed together as recently as August, when they shared the stage at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles to perform the Foo Fighters’ song Show Me How, in tribute to her late grandmother Virginia.
Grohl also introduced Violet to the stage during the Foo Fighters’ Glastonbury set in June 2023.
