Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer teases emotional reunion for Tom Holland and Zendaya
The countdown to release is officially on. There are six weeks until the latest Spider-Man movie hits our screens, and the latest trailer is a glimpse of what to expect.

He may be a superhero, but even Peter Parker understands the importance of callisthenics. You always need to stretch before you go into battle.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is six weeks away from release, and the marketing campaign is ramping up. Tom Holland and Zendaya kicked off the promotional tour with its first stop earlier this week in Spain.
Sony Pictures released a second trailer today (the first one surpassed half a billion views within the first 24 hours, wild), and it gives a greater glimpse into what to expect when Spidey swings back across our screens.

Which meant it cut him off from best girl MJ and bestie Ned, and it seems like Peter has had an isolating few years. If we know anything from these past 25 years or so of superhero movies, it’s that powered people still need people. Barbra Streisand has been saying that all along.
So does Aunt May in voiceover, “The people who love you love you because you’re you, never forget that, no matter how powerful you become”. We think it’s May – it sure sounds like Marisa Tomei, and it ends with Peter at May’s gravesite, telling her how much he misses her.
There are challenges aplenty ahead, including an invisible power that’s stalking the city which only Peter seems to be immune to. But he has some new, hopefully, allies in Bruce Banner, who is keeping his Hulk side under control with a wrist device, and Frank Castle.

He’s also battling changes within himself with a promised transformation that could be a force for good, if he learns to control it.
But it looks like even in this altered reality, MJ will still go for a ride with Spidey when he asks her if she trusts him. Some things are inevitable.

The film also stars Jacob Batalan, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman and Michael Mando, and was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is in Australian cinemas on July 30
