Robert Irwin is introducing the next Hall of Fame inductee.

There’s talk of Fatso the wombat, so I’m guessing it’s... A Country Practice!

It is!

What a treat to relive this gem of a show.

“We were welcomed into the homes and hearts of pretty much everyone in Australia,” says Shane Withington, who starred.

Still not over Molly’s death, to be honest.

The cast are on stage to accept the honour - there’s a standing ovation...and I’ve got something in my eye.

Side note: who knew Grinspoon’s Pat Davern’s dad created the show? Probably everyone, but this is new news to me.

Accepting the Logie are hosts James Bracey and Dylan Alcott, and commentator Todd Woodbridge.

There are a lot of velvet tuxes on that stage - and we love to see it!

“When they said, ‘You’ve got to go round the back,’ I was like, ‘We are winning!’” quipped Alcott.

This is the third years in a row they have won.

“This does mean a lot to us,” says Tom.

“I may have just been bitten by a snake,” says Sam Pang, who took the opportunity to wish his mother a happy birthday.

“She owes me a lot of money,” he quipped.

Ha!

The pair played father and daughter in Deadloch, which remains my fave Aussie comedy of this year.

These two are hilarious - f-bombs dropping left, right and centre!

Next up we have a Children’s Python. “Isn’t he cute,” says Robert.

He’s brought him to visit Denise Scott, who is being a good sport, getting in a zinger for good measure.

Sam Pang is telling Robert if the snake bites him, he will sue - he cares not, and has left it at the table with the Cheap Seats and Pang to babysit.

“Tim is familiar with reptile dysfunction,” says Melanie Bracewell.

And now....another python!

Luke McGregor has been called on to help - he’s now wearing it around his neck. Now Andy Lee is helping out.

Scott Tweedie is now introducing Peking Duk. It’s chaos...and I’m there for it.

Natalie Barr is up to accept the award, alongside the journalists and producers involved.

“This honour belongs to the victims, their families, and the first responders; the people who ran to the beach to help complete strangers that day in Bondi,” says Barr.

“Bondi showed us the very worst of terror. But it also showed us the very best of Australia, and that gives us hope.”

Michael Usher says they put “a lot of care and compassion” into the information they put to air.
