Foo Fighters are set to make their hugely anticipated return to Australia next year.

One of the biggest and most beloved rock bands of all time — and Rock and Rock Hall of Fame inductees — have announced their Australian Take Cover stadium tour, which marks the band’s 15th visit Down Under.

The American band — featuring Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin — will perform all-ages shows across the country from November.

All the action kicks off in Brisbane on November 5, and the rockers will stop off in Townsville on November 7, Sydney on November 10, Newcastle on November 12, Melbourne on November 14 and Adelaide on November 17.

Fans in regional cities Townsville and Newcastle will get to see Foo Fighters perform in their hometowns for the first time.

After the band’s East Coast shows, they will travel to New Zealand for shows in Christchurch and Auckland before wrapping the tour up in Perth on January 25, 2027.

Foo Fighters handpicked local support acts for all Aussie shows, including Full Flower Moon Band, The Belair Lip Bombs and The Buoys.

The news follows Foo Fighters’ recent history-making performance in Tasmania — the biggest concert ever held in the state, and their first ever appearance in Launceston.

The sold-out show reaffirmed Foo Fighters’ enduring connection with their Aussie fans, with frontman Grohl fulfilling his onstage promise that the band would return before his birthday on January 14.

Renowned for their marathon sets and career-spanning performances, Foo Fighters have sold more than 1.8 million records in Australia alone, with nine number one albums to date — the most number ones in any territory for the group.

Telstra Plus Members can access presale tickets from Friday via telstra.com.au/plus.

Frontier Members can access presale tickets from February 23, and general public tickets will go on sale on February 25.
