Sam Wood’s fitness empire has officially cut ties with the disgraced reality TV star, removing his name from the popular program in a complete rebrand following his domestic violence charges.

The 28 by Sam Wood program unveiled a new look and name on Wednesday night, three weeks after the 46-year-old allegedly strangled his wife, Snezana, during an incident at a property in Noosa on October 3.

In a video posted to the company’s Instagram, pilates instructor Alice Bennett revealed the program’s new name — Evvr.

“In the coming weeks, you’re going to see a new name and a fresh, new look,” she said.

“We are taking all of the magic that we have built and made here together, your favourite trainers, your favourite workouts that you know and love, and most importantly, this amazing community.

“A new look, a new chapter, but with the same heart. This is evvr.”

She said the new name stands for “evvr.ybody evvr.yday evvr.ywhere”.

The company has also swapped its recognisable coral and black colours for a bright purple and white logo, however, the company has retained the “28theprogram” Instagram handle.

The re-brand comes more than three weeks after Mr Wood was taken into custody over allegations he pushed and choked his wife — who he met on The Bachelor in 2015 — to the point she stopped breathing.

It has also been alleged that Mr Wood banged Snezana’s head on the floor, leaving her “in fear of her safety”.

The alleged altercation was witnessed by Snezana’s daughter Eve, 21, who called triple-0.

Prosecutor Sgt Jeanette Grigoris told the Maroochydore Magistrates Court: “(The victim) told police she thought she was going to die and she was in fear of her safety.”

“It is strong evidence in terms of the offence; (the complainant) does articulate the choking and that there was cessation of breath.”

The court heard Mr Wood told police there had been “an argument in the bedroom” and agreed there was “pushing and shoving”, but denied any choking.
