“I HONESTLY JUST CANT WAIT TO WATCH THIS SHOW WITH CHLOE BOBBI AND ANDI.”
The casting news follows the recent release of the film’s first trailer, offering a glimpse at the next chapter in the beloved franchise.
The story continues after the emotional ending of Toy Story 4, where Woody left Bonnie’s toybox to start a new life with Bo Peep.
In the new instalment, Woody crosses paths again with Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the crew as they attempt to win back Bonnie’s attention, which is increasingly consumed by a high-tech tablet known as Lilypad.
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return to voice Woody and Buzz, alongside returning cast members Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog and Tony Hale as Forky.
Toy Story 5 is set to hit cinemas across Australia and New Zealand on June 18, 2026.

It comes as Taylor Swift fans ramp up speculation the global pop star could be involved in Toy Story 5, despite no official confirmation from Disney or the singer.
The theory first gained traction after a cryptic countdown briefly appeared on Swift’s website, set against a cloud-filled backdrop that fans quickly linked to Andy’s bedroom wallpaper from the original Toy Story films. The countdown vanished without explanation, but many insist it was no coincidence.
In recent weeks, the rumours have only intensified. Billboards featuring the letters “TS” in the franchise’s signature font have appeared internationally, while 13 cartoon clouds, a number closely associated with Swift, are scattered across the ads.
Pixar further fuelled the speculation by sharing one of the billboards on social media alongside a lyric from Swift’s 2014 hit Shake It Off, writing: “She’s making those moves up as she goes.”
Fans have also pointed to subtle changes on streaming platforms, where imagery linked to Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) appears to have been altered, as well as references to Toy Story during a recent episode of the New Heights podcast hosted by Swift’s fiancé Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
While theories range from a voice cameo to a full original song, director Andrew Stanton has downplayed expectations. “It surprised us. We’d be frickin’ honoured,” he told USA Today.
“The sad truth is, we watched the movie being mixed last week, done, and the song on the end of that was not Taylor Swift’s song.”
However, Stanton stopped short of ruling out any involvement entirely, leaving fans to continue speculating about a potential surprise role or contribution elsewhere in the film.
