Double double, toil and trouble, things are getting a little witchy around here.
The first trailer for the Marvel series Agatha All Along has dropped and we’re in for some strange times.
The series is due to premiere in September and will follow Agatha Harkness, the character played by Kathryn Hahn in WandaVision where she started off as the neighbour and was then revealed as the show’s villain trying to steal Scarlet Witch’s powers.

The character was such a standout in WandaVision, that it was no surprise when it was announced Agatha would be the star of her own spin-off series.
In Agatha All Along, according to the official logline, Agatha is broken out of Wanda’s spell by a “suspicious goth teen” but is without her magic. He gives her the idea of going down the “Witches’ Road”, a series of trials that, if you survive, will reward you with what you’re missing.
So, Agatha assembles a ragtag coven – with characters played by Patti Lupone, Debra Jo Rupp (That 70s Show) and Joe Locke (Heartstopper) – to take on the challenge.
The trailer also features Aubrey Plaza who is seen in the trailer as trying to awaken Agatha from her forced fake reality (in which she appears as a very True Detective/Mare of Eastown-esque cop).
While the character is seen as part of the coven at one point, Plaza’s casting surely suggests there’s more to the witch.
The series also stars Ali Ahn, Sasheer Zamata, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein and Okwui Okpokwasili. The first episode was written and directed by Jac Shaeffer, who created WandaVision. Other directors include Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.
Agatha All Along is one of two Marvel live-action streaming series to be released in 2024. The studio has pulled back on the volume and speed at which it was premiering its TV and film projects amid fears of “superhero fatigue” after several Marvel and DC screen titles underperformed.
Agatha All Along will debut on September 19
