The Gala’s theme celebrates the history of the black dandy and on that, Williams explained to Vogue, “I see dandyism as a set of rules and standards that reflect a certain sophistication and well-travelled taste. For Black people to hit that mark or exceed it, and be consistent with it, is a matter of pride.”

The Anyone But You and Euphoria actor is wearing Miu Miu, and posted to her Instagram that she was inspired by actor Kim Novak, best known for her role in Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo. Sweeney is due to play Novak in an upcoming film called Sandalous.
