Food recall: La Vera Group Pty Ltd Cheddar Pepper R/W 300g urgently pulled from supermarket shelves
A contaminated food item has been immediately pulled from supermarket shelves across the country.

Australia’s food watchdog has ordered a cheese product immediately be pulled from supermarket shelves after the item was found to be contaminated.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand issued a recall warning for La Vera Group Pty Ltd Cheddar Pepper R/W approx 300g on Thursday over fears of E. coli contamination.
The product has been available for purchase at independent food retailers including IGA in Victoria and South Australia.

Customers who purchased the cheese marked with the best before date 15 May 2027 are urged to not eat it or risk becoming unwell.
“Consumers should not eat this product,” the watchdog wrote in the recall alert.

“Food products contaminated with E. coli may cause illness if consumed.”
The watchdog urged anyone with the contaminated product to return it to the place of purchase to get their money back.
“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the statement continued.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
The recall comes after two Bellevue Orchard. fruit juices were removed from stores on Tuesday.
The one litre bottles of Summer Snow - Pink Lady Apple Juice with the best before date of 12/03/2027 and 08/03/2027 are impacted.
These bottles were available for purchase at independent retailer Farmer’s Pick in Victoria.
Another product recalled is two litre bottles of Summer Snow — Granny Smith Apple Juice with a best before date of 29/03/2027.
This product was sold at independent food retailers, including in-store and online at IGA.
There are concerns that the pasteurisation process was unsuccessful, resulting in mould contamination.
Consumers have been advised not to drink the juice for fears it could cause illness.
