A minute to go

Every player is in the Giants’ forward 50. Chad Warner is having an unbelievable final quarter with seven clearances. He had none at three-quarter time.

THE SWANS ARE IN FRONT

Joel Armartey has had a day to forget but the Swans go forward again as Nick Blakey wins the two-on-one. It’s tumbling inside 50 but Amartey lays the bump to create the space pick up the ball and kick the go-ahead goal

HEEEEEENEEYYYYYY

The Swans are under pressure but Warner gets the kick out of defence Tom Papley then wins a two on one against Connor Idun and Sam Taylor. He gets the ball to Heeney who launches on the run from 60m out and it bounces through. His third goal to go with 30 disposals and it’s all tied up.

Five-minute warning

Logan McDonald misses a snap but the point makes it a one-goal game. GWS have sent Hogan behind the ball as they flood numbers back.

Swans respond

After giving up the goal at the other end Jordan does well to keep his feet on the wing keep the ball alive and nail a pin-point pass to the sub Braeden Campbell. He snaps his first and it’s seven points with seven minutes to go.

CALLAN WARD!

The Giants lock it in the pocket and the Swans are treading carefully trying to not give away a free. But Ward steps through and bounces off James Jordan’s tackle and snaps a banana to give GWS the breathing room.

Giants under seige

Lachlan Keeffe misses from in front. Jake Lloyd misses Luke Parker misses his shot on the run. Sam Taylor takes a massive intercept mark GWS are hanging on atm.

Lloyd puts it through

Chad Warner has had a quite day but he shows great composure to win the ground ball in the middle and finds Jake Lloyd in space. He runs from the middle of the ground to 50 and launches on the run and it bounces through. We’re back to eight points.

Papley’s fired up

He launches his set shot from 50 and the Swans get one back. They’ve been unable to string more than one together but they are keeping in touch.

Clumsy tackle

James Peatling cops one high from Callum Mills. Peatling was always going low but it’s clumsy for Mills not to expect and catch him high. Margin back to 21.
