Lions confirm Neale is the sub
Cats sub
Geelong have made a surprise sub with Rhys Stanley out for Jack Martin.
Jeremy Cameron must have been cleared to return but his arm still looks poor.
THREE-QUARTER TIME: Geelong 44, Brisbane 63
This last term will be decided by the forwards.
Both teams are struggling to break down the defensive pressure and get their forwards into the game.
Dangerfield may find more room with Starvevich going through concussion protocols and potentially not coming back.
The Coleman medallist is likely out as well after disappearing to the rooms for half a quarter.
Holmes leads with 24 disposals and five clearances but Fletcher had a strong term for the Lions while Cameron is officially up and about with three goals.
Neale also put any doubts about his calf to rest with a long range monster inside the final minute.

Big whack
Starvevich is in the hands of trainers after a huge hit.
He went into an oncoming player from the side and looked to hit his head.
He had a three-month concussion battle to start the season so another concussion would be concerning.

Cameron done?
Cameron put in an incredible chase to hunt down Fletcher and bring him down with one arm.
But it was the arm that he injured in the first half and is sporting some padding.
He has now gone down the race but Holmes gets the Cats back in front off the back of that tackle.

The secret
Bailey has found the key to finding the big sticks, don’t pick the ball up!
Running back to goal with two Cats on his tail he nudged the ball into the square to get clear and then hammered it through.
Reville had a chance to boot another as Neale had his first involvement but he sprayed the shot.

Lions sub
Lachie Neale has been subbed into the game for youngster Sam Marshall.
Marshall had a great preliminary final but had only five touches in the first half.
Half-time sprint
The biggest man in the field has taken out the sprint!
Suns forward Jed Walter was out of the blocks well but really took over through the back half from Beau McCreery who won last year.
Gout Gout got them started on the gun while boxer Harry Garside finished last.
Docker Murphy Reid looked good in the shades but it didn’t help his running.
ICYMI
Snoop Dogg put on a hell of a show pre-game. Read our review of the American superstar’s performance below.
HALF-TIME: Geelong 36, Brisbane 36
Holmes and Ashcroft continue to dominate the numbers as the key linking men through the middle.
Both teams had a turn at imposing their styles on the game but end the first half neck a neck.
An AFL/VFL grand final has not sat with scores level at the main break since 1909.
Blicavs is the man Geelong will be hoping can improve after the break, he’s had just two touches.
Overall disposals, kicks and handballs are all exactly level with Geelong having had one extra inside 50.
This game is set up to be an all timer!

Jezza watch
The Cats’ big forward is hurt.
He had a major collesion with Dangerfield as they both went to gather a ground ball.
The Coleman medallist hit his head and arm and will need to have both checked on the bench.
Meanwhile, Close grabs another goal for Geelong.
