AFL: Fremantle are main event footy as they look to claim another big scalp as they take on Collingwood under the Friday night lights in Gather Round.

The Dockers are unchanged for a third straight week as the Pies welcome back the services of a superstar duo in Nick Daicos and Scott Pendlebury.

These two sides have produced some classics in recent times, with their last three games producing a combined margin of 15 points.

Voss’ yips continue

He’s kicked 4.11 this season but Murphy Reid gives him an early shot with a beautiful kick to beat Collngwood’s defence.

But from 25m he hooks it badly left to make it 4.12 for the season.

Pies continue to dominate

88 per cent inside Collingwood’s forward half across the first seven minutes.

The Dockers have committed some horror turnovers in the middle of the ground and can probably feel lucky they only conceded the seven points.

Collingwood finally convert

They’ve had five inside 50s to one to start this contest but as last week their connection to their forwards have been poor.

However Beau McReery weights a perfect pass to get over Luke Ryan and land in the lap of Tim Membrey who gets the Pies on the board.

Here we go

Jamie Elliott is a surprise name in the middle, starting on Caleb Serong but the Pies get an early clearance win and have it locked inside 50.

We’re almost ready

A future Dockers star?

As Fremantle prepare to take on the Pies, those with an eye to the future will be excited by what they see at South Fremantle.

Will Alex Pearce continue his Adelaide love affair?

He’s been the match-winner the last two times at Adelaide Oval for Freo, with a mark and goal against Port last year and his match saving smother last week.

He spoke to Abbey Holmes before the game.

“We had to fight through some crowds to get to out here,” he says

“I think our game is suited to wet weather I think early the focus is getting the ball forward but we know how to handle it

“I think we’ve been evolving for a little while and hopefully we’re building to that side that can just get the job done when the pressure’s on

“We know Collingwood is full of superstars that can hurt us but if we can get it forward and lock it in our front half where our strengths lie.”

Wet and wild in Adelaide

Torrential rain is falling across Adelaide Oval and could make for difficult conditions.

Last night saw huge rain the second half, which saw what was a shootout descend into a low-scoring arm wrestle.

The Dockers had their training delayed earlier in the week due to lightning so have had plenty of practice this week in the wet.

No late changes

Both teams will go in as named with Dockers locking in the same line-up for the third week in a row.

Daicos and Pendlebury will be joined by debutant Angus Anderson for the Pies.
