Sellwood to the Dogs?

Michael Sellwood is almost certain to be on an AFL list tonight, with sources telling The West Australian the Bulldogs will take him with their first pick if he is still on the table.

Port Adelaide are also interested in the 21-year-old and have a pick before the Bulldogs. The Power interviewed Sellwood while he was in Perth last week.

The Bulldogs, who put Sellwood through a medical, on Tuesday opened up a second list spot for the draft by putting injured forward Cody Weightman on their inactive list.

Hello

And welcome to our coverage of the AFL’s mid-season rookie draft for 2025!

West Coast will have the No.1 (and No.9) pick, with the Eagles expected to take VFL star Tom McCarthy with the first selection.

A host of WAFL guns are in the mix too, with Subiaco’s Archer May, Peel Thunder’s Michael Sellwood and East Fremantle star Lachlan Blakiston and Milan Murdock all drawing interest from clubs.

Murdock is considered a serious chance to be taken with West Coast’s second pick, after a season-ending shoulder injury to forward Jake Waterman opened up another list spot.

The mid-season rookie draft kicks off at 4.30pm AWST.
