We’re almost at the halfway point of the trade period - and there are plenty of prospective deals that need to be done.

And from a WA point of view - the Eagles may be looking to get a trade done for Richmond’s Tylar Young, as well as considering their options for wantaway Campbell Chesser.

Carlton reject Geelong’s Curnow offer
Welcome to day five of trade week and we’ve already got a heap of early news.
Firstly the big one is that Carlton is not impressed with Geelong’s record breaking offer for star forward Charlie Curnow.
The Blues football boss Chris Davies was on Trade Radio this morning and had this to say.
“The club’s position has been that we don’t want Charlie to be leaving Carlton, and that’s the first thing we should all be aware of here,” he said.
“The second part of this conversation is understanding what three first-round picks might actually look like and, for Geelong, those three picks are effectively going to be picks in the 20s.
“If that’s what the offer ends up being - notwithstanding the fact that we don’t want Charlie to go - I’m not sure anyone would think that’s a reasonable deal for who Charlie Curnow is.
“I’m not going to get into what we think Charlie’s worth other than to say we want Charlie to be at Carlton.
“We value him far more than what some other people are suggesting around the competition he’s worth.”
