There’s been plenty of back and forth but now the deals must get done as the AFL trade period reaches its final day with plenty of names still left on the board.

West Coast copper has plenty of heat over their splitting of pick three to acquire Liam Baker and Matt Owies, can they appease their angry fans with a good trade for Tom Barrass?

Fremantle will hope they can break the deadlock over Shai Bolton and finally acquire a key piece of their premiership puzzle.

They also are expected to get pick six for Daniel Rioli later today.

That’s how you start a rebuild

An aside to the Botlon deal

Fremantle sliding to pick 14 means if Bo Allan is still on the board West Coast at pick 12 are now front runners to land him.

A reminder of the embargo

To build tension in the final day of AFL trading the AFL has an embargo on all trades until 2pm AEDT/ 11am AWST so no deals can officially be done until then

Fremantle’s big offer for Bolton.

Multiple outlets are reporting Fremantle has finalised its deal with Richmond.

Fremantle will offer picks 10, 11 and 18 and in return Richmond will give up Bolton, pick 14 and a future third.

So the Dockers slide back four spots but still have a first-round draft pick while they get Bolton.

Dockers closes in on Bolton

It looks like Fremantle have budged on Richmond’s demands offering picks 10 and 11 for Shai Bolton in addition with other picks being swapped.

It’s a massive price but Freo feel they have enough young talent and need ready-made talent rather than hitting the draft
