FULL TIME: Giants 132, Eagles 51

Hogan just misses out on 10 goals but the Giants were in traning drills for much of the day.

It’s also the Giants’ largest ever victory over the Eagles at 81 points.

Harley Reid ends the match with an Eagles-high 25 disposals and 559-metres gained.

On the other hand, Green had 37 and Whitfield 35 for the Giants.

A few very small wins for the Eagles in passages but their injury-hit defence was ravaged.

Jack Williams sneaks a late goal for the Eagles as Allen is swung into defence.

Both teams going through the motions with less than five minutes left.

West Coast are begging for mercy as Hogan equals his career-best with nine goals.

Brock has been thrown to the wolves and the Eagles are now out on their feet as well.

100-point loss on the cards again now.

West Coast have held firm through the first 10 minutes of the last and could have had a couple of majors for their work but missed shots.

The Giants convert at the other end and make things look even worse.

Especially, as Hogan kicks his seventh.

THREE-QUARTER TIME: Giants 95, Eagles 43

Hogan kicks his sixth to end the quarter but again the Eagles will be pleased with the little wins.

They are clearly out matched in talent but at least their effort was closer to the Giants’ mark and they do look dangerous when they get repeat entries going forward.

However, you are going to struggle when you get just four marks inside 50 in three quarters.

The Giants have 22 at their end.

West Coast are just one behind in the clearances though and are winning that battle outside of centre bounces.

Another good period for the Eagles which included three run down tackles and a near goal of the year effort from Brockman.

In the end Dewar gets the goal but it was defensive efforts from Graham that earned the ball back.

Reid got involved in the chain and the Eagles are trying to get him the ball moving forward.
