HALF-TIME: Collingwood 43, Brisbane 30

The game has turned on a dime and Collingwood are now the dominant force.

The Lions suffered three injuries in that term but much of it was because they are coming second to the contest.

The Lions are still leading the disposals but they can’t get past half forward.

And Cameron missed their only real chance.

Brisbane also lead the clearances by 10 so really just need to calm down in the second half because they look the better side when they make the right choices.

Daicos’ game

The umpire has given back-to-back 50-metre penalties at the insistence of Nick Daicos and suddenly the home side lead by eight.

Ashcroft got caught holding the ball and the ball spilled out of the contest but was pinged as not giving the ball back after Daicos pointed to the umpire and called for 50.

Then as they lined up after the penalty Daicos pointed to Ashcroft who was next to him for coming into the protected area and the umpire payed another 50.

To make matters worse, the Lions have activated the sub with Berry out and Houston has grabbed the Pies’ sixth major of the term.

Carnage!

Berry’s shoulder has been dislocated and the medical staff are struggling to get him off the ground as play goes on between them and the bench.

He has already done the shoulder previously but it came out again after a lunging tackle.

Gallop is also sore for the Lions and De Goey for the Magpies.

Zorko again (Part II)

Zorko is having a half to forget.

He gives away a high-contact free kick after being worried out of a ground ball contest.

It rub salt into the wound of Ashcroft being tackled high and getting nothing just moments before.

The margin is back to four points.

Zorko again

Zorko is kicking at 44 per cent and the Pies are making him pay.

Membrey is the happy receiver this time and slots another to reduce the margin to 10 points.

The Magpie Army is back in voice.

Wide open!

The Pies finally get their second major after a horror turnover under pressure from Zorko.

He got half tackled while trying to kick and the ball scrubbed across to the Pies and they made no errors as Elliott ran into an open square.

QUARTER TIME: Collingwood 20, Brisbane 27

The Lions look sharp and fast after the Pies had their way for the first five minutes.

Pendlebury going off doesn’t help but Collingwood don’t look dangerous when they go forward.

The Lions’ defenders are all over them and keep providing bounce back into attack.

The top six disposal winners are Brisbane players from halfback and the wing.

Bailey has also started on fire with a goal, eight touches and three clearances.

De Goey has won the most ball for Collingwood.

Bubbling away

The temperature is rising out there and the Pies have lost their cool a couple of times.

He puts it through basically from the goal square.
