McEvoy makes light work of heats
World record holder Cam McEvoy wasted no energy in his heat, finishing second behind Canadian Joshua Liendo.
He cruised to a 21.87 finish, notching the second-best time en route to the semi-finals.
It was a breezy start for McEvoy but the Aussie kicked it up a gear to finish strong.
Jack cracks sub 22
As the swimming heats get underway Australia is quick to notch another win with Jamie Jack storming in heat eight of the men’s 50m freestyle.
His 21.95 is the first sub 22 time in the early heats.
Netball underway
The hosts, Scotland, kick off the Netball action, but unfortunately for them, ran into one of the favourites, New Zealand, first up, who were way too good in their 74-44 win at the Hydro
